Brief
Design and build the new Shed website.
Solution
Shed approached us to update their existing flash-based website which was looking fairly dated. As their work is almost entirely based on the imagery they shoot once their projects are complete they wanted their photography to really stand out.
The main client requirements were to make the imagery ‘as big as possible’, scalable to different screen sizes, and have content managed in Wordpress. No mean feat, and certainly something we haven’t seen before.
We built a completely bespoke back-end for Shed which allows the site to scale proportionally to various browser sizes. Open the site link below and change your browser window size – you’ll notice the content adapts, and therefore is tailored to all screen sizes. The design uses full screen imagery and minimal navigation (with animation) so the impact of Shed’s work is immediately apparent, and their work and ability stand out from their competitors. All this in a site they can update themselves.
