F’d in Park Slope
NYC Brooklyn based Blog
Brief
F’d In Park Slope is a blog which comments on, engages with and is a platform for debate for the residents of Park Slope in Brooklyn. They approached us to redesign their identity and site. The brief was to accurately capture the right tone – proud New Yorkers, ballsy, sarcastic, colourful, humourous – into a simple, bold and adaptable look. We were told in no uncertain terms not to submit anything girly or cute.
Solution
A simple logotype is supported by a series of icons representing various different aspects of life in Park Slope. To be used with or without the wording, the icons used a bold colour scheme and took inspiration from a number of different sources – Oliver, the dog belonging to the founder of the site even makes a special appearance.
