Brief
We were approached by Norman Jay to create a new identity for his Good Times Soundsystem. The branding would appear across the Notting Hill Carnival bus, marketing material, his music releases and website. Our brief was to capture the vibrancy and essence of a Good Times party into a refreshed brand identity that would last for the next 20 years onwards.
Solution
As a soundsystem Good Times has over 30 years of heritage, sharing music to the masses at parties and events around the world as well as being the central focus point of the legendary The Notting Hill Carnival. Good Times is all about fun, music and the founder, Norman Jay. Norman’s music selection talent, passion and personality is synonymous with the Good Times brand. We felt it was right to base the design of the logo around his iconic look. Taking the existing logo colours we’ve created an approachable and friendly vibe by adding his smiling face. Alongside with the colours and bold typography the logo clearly conveys one thing; Good Times = fun.
The logo is able to works in any variation of colours and is also adaptable to work on any background and in both horizontal and vertical formats.
